Orexia

Years ago, the disgraced mage Knight Captain Orex fled throughout the land searching for a source of “historically magical beings” which history has come to know as the race of Tieflings. Orex found these beings on an island far to the north and there set into motion a series of events that would culminate in the founding of the Great Lands of Orex – more commonly known as Orexia.
For the next 150 years, King Orex and his Tiefling wife Queen ruled and the land was flooded with trade, agriculture, and most importantly, magic. Soon Orexia became a haven for those of magical abilities, where they were not denigrated.
Many who knew these lands during its foundation would recall the two great iron gates spanning the coastal inlet of the lands, known as Alchemy Port.

Following the sudden disappearance of King Orex, many families tried their hand at ruling this country with few grasping power for no more than a few years. However, amidst this blood-less quest for rule, one family proved dominant. Led by the figurehead of Valeria Arkania and his wife Akira, the House Arkania wrested power through powerful militaristic might – and highly persuasive diplomacy. The King and Queen both rose to power and fame within the land, and their influence knew no bounds. They bore three children, Kairon, Ebra and Yuvari, who were slated from birth to rule the country in turn.

The Black Day is an event mourning the passing of King Valeria and Queen Akira as they both died tragically. Little is known about how the King and Queen died, however the land recovered as Kairon, the eldest son, quickly moved into a ruling position.
